Subject: core 2 extreme (x6800) cpu too hot

my cpu seems to be running too hot and I can\'t bring it down.
I replaced the thermal with Artic silver and that still doesn\'t seem to help.
on idle with case cover open, both cores are at 51/50 degrees...if I put the cover on, it goes up to about 58 degrees!
I have reinstalled the heatsink and thermal paste several times already and nothing seems to help. |
