Hi,
check which drive model/manufacturer you have, and check the manufacturer's website for this model's maximum operating temperature. If it is never exceeded, you can't do much, except hope it won't fail. If it is exceeded, contact your retailer and/or Compaq support stating this problem.

Hi,
PS, note that Notebook drives are often specified to work at higher temperatures than desktop computer drives.
