I want to use low voltage : something like 4 to 6 volts. This turns out to be a problem, because it seems like all fans use 12V DC. But i also heard of fancy looking cooling pads for notebooks, which are USB-connected and use 3V. (by using 2 80mm fans or 4 60mm fans). Can anybody tell me where I can purchase these kind of fans (without the designlike package which is useless for me) . Thank you very much Harro

Don't look at shops specialized in _PC_ cooling; in that area, mostly 12V fans can be found. You should be able to get 5V fans at generic electronics retailers, such as Radio Shack.
