With power off and system unplugged, I first CAREFULLY vacuum the case interior paying special attention to vent openings and around the case and power supply fans. Then I use a can of compressed gas (the sort used for camera lenses and such) to blast away dust in hard-to-reach nooks and especially the CPU fan and heatsink and other hotspots identified by Intel (my board is an Intel board). Because of the dust this dislodges, I finish with a second careful vacuuming.
Hope this helps. |

uhhhh, i heard vaccuming causes static, which destroys electronic equipment, which is also why there is canned air to blow the dust off |
