i have just removed the cooling fan on my cpu in order to clean dust from the heat sink and fan but i stupidly forgot which way on it was.
should it be blowing air on to the heat sink or exhausting air out of the case.
i am sure it should be blowing air on to the heat sink and this is the way i have put it back together.

wrong

should be taking air out of heat sinc. blowing air in will also exspeediantly fill sinc with dust.

Have the fan blowing into the heatsink, that way the fan will not suck warm air form the VRMs around the cpu

...Or if you are talking about the case fan, that should be blowing out of the case. If its attached to the cpu heatsink, it should be blowing into the cpu heatsink
