Great tutorial on the temperature controlled fan controller by the way, and great site. Just a question, How would I disable temperature controled fan speed? would I short the NTC thermistor, or would I put a 10k resistor in the way? or somthing else?
Cheers for your time

The best way I can think of is to put in a bypass switch before the thermistor that you can use to select or deselect the temperature sensing option. You would still have the resistance of the trim-pot that would limit the fan voltage so you can still set some kind of a maximum speed to the fan... or the other alternative is to wire the switch to bypass the entire control circuit if you wanted to go to full speed and full voltage with no limiting... or even more you could wire both switches and have both options.
